*** The Official Nova Class of 2018 Interview/Acceptance Thread ***

Checked aadsas during class and freaked. Got the call during the end of class and was sooo happy on the phone. i probably sounded too happy. I have no idea what about the krebs cycle we learned today =/

on the plus side..will most likely be attending nova in the fall!
YAY FOR MY #1!!!!
 
I didn't ever notice this before, but when I look at 'school decisions' online i don't have anything for multiple schools i applied to, including Nova. I had an interview there a couple weeks ago so I don't know if I should call aadsas and see what up or... i don't know?
 
Phone call, portal update and letter all came in today!

anyone else not seeing nova on their 'school decisions' list on aadsas? kind of freaking out, but i guess if i don't hear from them today then ill call tomorrow and see what's going on

I show up as waitlisted when I checked just now. It doesn't really matter for me though because I got into my #1 choice 😀
 
I don't know how to access the portal but I got offer made on AADSAS! 🙂
 
Congrats guys who got acceptance!! For those who haven't got yet, don't lose your hope, you'll be accepted soon!!

I check my AADSAS status changed to "offer made" in the early morning (Pacific Time) and got a call from Dr. Lippman at around 9:30AM (Pacific time)

Also, just checked my Webstar portal and see the registration fee column!!!!

I would like to answer if anyone has questions.

Anyone for sure going to Nova in the fall? Couldn't find a Facebook page for the class of 2018 when I searched.
 
I'm like 90% going. Will decide next week when I get home! Feel free to start a page!

Also, mom said the acceptance letter came in the mail today.
 
I was also accepted to Nova! I was just wondering why you would choose this school over other schools? I am an open minded person but we didnt get a Power Point presentation about the school so I really did not get much info regarding the programs plus and minuses. I was just wondering what you guys love about Nova that other schools dont have.

Probably not. People got in today have 30 days to make decision so school wont know exactly how many spots are available until jan 2nd...just really curious how many ppl are actually in the waitlist. It seems like not everyone interviewed has thier aadsas status updated as waitlisted....

From the looks of last years Facebook page it seems like current students made it for the new class? Maybe we should wait a few days.

Sounds like a good idea! If there isn't one we can make one in a couple weeks or so when people are more concrete on where they'd like to attend. 🙂
 
Does anyone know how many people are accepted on Dec. 2? Or how many people are interviewed? I have an interview coming up and I'm just curious what the chances of acceptance are..
 
Nova still isn't showing up on my AADSAS /: No letter and no phone call yet and I interviewed on Nov.22, anyone else in the same boat still? I'm probably going to call in tomorrow and ask...
 
So I read several postings about two kinds of waitlists at Nova, the High Hold list has ~top 50 ppl and another waitlist containing the rest. Can anyone confirm/know if this is right?
I thought everyone that interviewd but wasnt accepted in December was listed as High Hold.
By the way the high hold letter came in mail today.

Probably waitlisted sinve you had pre december interview.

I got the same high hold waitlist letter via snail mail. Can anyone confirm the above? Im gonna call the school tom to find out.
 
Offer made! No phone call or letter yet, but AADSAS portal was updated this morning. Congrats to those so far, it feels awesome! Hope to meet you all soon!
 
Just called and found out "high hold" candidate is just their way of saying waitlisted.

Also a new batch of acceptances for waitlisted applicants will begin Jan 1 via phone calls when accepted studnts decide they want another school and dont pay the deposit to Nova.
 
Nov. 20th interview and nothing yet either. Theyre probably updating the portal by interview date

Nov 21 interview and nothing updated yet, nor did i hear from them by phone yesterday. hoping that means wait list
 
Any idea on odds for January interviewees? Is the class all filled or do they have spots for further interviewees?
 
Does anyone know when do we have to fill up FAFSA?
 
I interviewed nov 21st also.. nothing shows up in aadsas, no phone call, no letter in the mail so far.. I feel completely in the dark as to what to expect. I got an acceptance from NYU, and I don't want to put down the 5k deposit until I know for sure I have no chance with Nova. BOO-urns.

let me know if you call and get through, i tried earlier today and was on hold for 30 minutes (my drive to school this AM) and had to hang up. Going to try again after I'm done with classes tonight

I tried earlier this morning and apparently the number for the main office was out of service...? Could you please let me know which number you called to? Thanks in advance!

I was able to get through but the phone call was completely useless. All the guy on the phone told me was that it said my application status only indicated that it was still under review, and that I would probably know something soon.

Hopefully someone else will hear something a little more informative
