I wish all of you applying to Nova this application cycle best of luck! While I have not started school at Nova yet (incoming D1 here!), I am looking forward to answering any questions you all may have about the application.

So who is applying this year?

Applying here along with UF and LECOM this cycle

Just got the supplemental ($50) email today from NOVA!
 
Has anyone received a call? I got a voicemail today saying my application was complete and that it was being reviewed and to call if I had any questions.
 
Do you guys already have all your letters and everything in/were you first batch? I have everything but letters in and my app will be mailed Friday, but I haven't heard from them.
 
I think you only really have to worry when you have everythiung in and haven't got an email.
 
Hi guys!!! I'm also applying to this cycle, I sent my application on June 24 but I haven't received the supplemental application email yet. Anxiously waiting -_-
 
I received a call saying that they received my supplemental app! Good luck everyone!
 
A question for the people who have received supplementals. Do you have your LORs in?

Yes. I have had everything in for quite a while now. My gpa is verified and my application was mailed on 6/20. I received the NOVA email 3 days after that!

For those of you who have completed the supplemental, what did you write for "Describe any special circumstances that you feel might aid the Admissions Committee in evaluating your application."? I know it's okay to leave it blank, but I'm just curious about what does the school expect to get from this question?

I talked about working full time because my course loads were decent but usually not 15-16 credits with the exception of a few semesters.
 
Applying in the next few days! Very nervous. I am retaking my DAT though the end of July will NOVA wait for my new scores to even consider my application?

hey adlogin, maybe you can answer my previous question about NOVA waiting for my second DAT scores? Also do you mind sharing your DAT scores that got you in? Thanks!!

I wrote about being published in a paper last week. It was only a couple sentences long. I took it as an opportunity to share what I thought I didn't have on my original app. However, I think it can also serve the purpose as providing the opportunity to talk about poor trends in grades, any arrests, or misconduct!
 
I would contact the nova admissions office whether they will wait for your second dat scores. They are however quick to send out interview invites when they get your supplemental application, so make sure you know before you send out your application. I had an average dat score and was fine.

Yes my compete application with letters and all was mailed on 6/20 and I received the supplemental a couple days later and the call a couple days after that. Good luck everyone!
 
Hi everyone, I am currently a D2 at Nova Southeastern. Our ADSA chapter at NSU is currently holding an all-weekend pre-dental simulation course (July 19-20). I really encourage those that are applying and will be applying to register for this event. You will have the opportunities to meet the dean, talk the our professors and current dental students. It's really beneficial to attend these kinds of workshop as it shows that you are really interested in our school. If you guys look at the previous Nova interview/acceptance threads, you'll see that keeping in contact and showing interests play very important roles in the admission process at Nova. Seats are limited so please register early (only 40 seats are offered). Please PM me if you have questions.
P.S. You can put this in your ADEA applications and submit them beforehand, as it usually takes a month for applications to be processed. Oh, PLEASE ignore the July 1st deadline.

Did everyone submit a liberal arts LOR?? I only have 1 science and 1 dentist so far...
 
Anyone get a phone call today? I couldn't answer but got a message to call back. Hope it's to schedule an interview

I received a phone call from them, but it was just to let me know that my application had been received. So it is likely that, however I could be wrong! When did you submit your application?

I'm glad they called you. I submitted my secondary today, but I just got an email saying they received everything from ADSAAS . I guess they don't like me LOL or they maybe call applicants who they think are a better fit :claps:

I was notified by e-mail and phone call so i'm not sure about that
 
I received an email for an interview as well! Very excited to visit the campus!

Interview invite today - TX resident
 
I missed the call from Nova today. Figured that it's probably the call that notifies me that my app is received. Should I call back? I don't have question at this point.

Congrats to those who got interview invites! Hope mine is coming soon!

My AADSAS app was sent out 6/20 (1st batch), I received an email 6/23 and I sent it back the same day. I'm a CO resident to answer your question from the other forum.

Second batch applicant. Got an email today for an interview around 4pm. Going on September 19th. See y'all there 🙂
 
It seems like the interviews are starting to rack in! Though I applied last cycle, I just want to say good luck to everyone, and just remember: you got this!

Just want to let everyone know, don't fret! This was one of the chillest interviews I went to, and everyone from the current D2s and D3s to the faculty members were so friendly and accommodating. You really can tell they try and teach you to be a better person there, and everyone there seems so happy and fun. Just be yourself, and you'll be golden! (FYI this is coming from someone that, reluctantly, chose to turn the spot down).

If there's any questions you guys have regarding the school and the interview, let me know or PM me! Just here to help.
