I'm not from NYC, but I have been doing some research on where to live. Depends on how close you want to live to the school really. I'm thinking we should start a facebook group for those of us that are definitely attending. It would help to find roommates too

I want to live close also bc I have no plans on catching the subway whatsoeveeeeer

I've been looking on craiglist for places and the prices make me want to cry 🙁

This is like two blocks away from the school! A lot of NYUCD students rent there the first year with roommates, until they get familiar with area an move somewhere cheaper later on!!

I was recently invited for an interview for the end of Jan. Anyone happen to know what the acceptance rate may be around that point?

I'm sorry! I'm sure after the initial deposit phase, waitlist movement will happen. When did you interview?
 
I got an interview invite two days ago and booked it for Jan 23rd yesterday (earliest date they had available)! They mentioned a supplementary application that will be completed during the interview, for those of you that have interviewed do you mind sharing what I should expect? Thanks in advance!

dont worry it's some basic personal info, nothing complex
 
is anyone planning on doing the 8 week research program before school starts?
 
The supplementary app just asks your name, address, and to list schools you have applied to and mark if you have been rejected interviewed or accepted.

gpa 3.73, was accepted dec 3
 
I am pretty sure I will be attending NYU but I am from Cali and have no idea how housing works nor do I know anyone who attends NYU. This is really worrying me...

Do any of you guys know if the school looks up roommates for us or are we supposed to do that on our own? Also, are the studio rooms near NYU big enough that we can split it in 2 and share with a roommate? One of the students I talked to on my interview date was doing this but I didn't ask if that made his living space a closet or not.
 
Do they send you a conformational email once deposit has been received? If so, how long does that take?

I sent in my deposit on December 11 and got the confirmation email on December 18. I am from Cali though and I used first-class (regular) mail.

I'm also from California. Sent mine the 17th and have yet gotten a response. Hopefully once admin returns after the holiday :xf:

I have an interview on Jan 23 - anyone have an idea or guess what the acceptance rate may be around that time?

Yes, sent deposit 12/31. Got email yesterday that it was received.
 
Hey Everyone! I applied late. NYU just emailed me yesterday that they received my application. Anyone else waiting to hear for an interview yet?
 
I am still waiting for an interview invite from them. Last time I called, the guy said that my application is still under review. Would be nice to know if anybody is getting any invitation recently. *fingers crossed*
 
I think they are still giving out interviews, I received one a few weeks ago. Will anyone else be there Feb 1st?

The FB group has around 170 people, prob most of who were accepted on dec. 3rd. I myself am also wondering of how good our chances by having a interview around this time.
 
May I ask those of you who have been accepted/given interview invites post dec. 3rd what your basic DAT scores and gpa are?

I interviewed back in October, was waitlisted on Dec. 3rd. I have a 3.36cum, 3.52s, 22AA, 21TS, 19PAT. I would just like to see if there have been other people with around my stats or lower who have been accepted. Sometimes I feel like the schools I've applied to have forgotten about me...

my oGPA is 3.47 and my sGPA is 3.8, 21AA, 20 PAT, 21 RC, 20 QR,

I got my deposit confirmation around the same time and my check has yet to be cashed out. Any updates since this post?

I got my confirmation like two weeks ago and they still haven't cashed mine yet either.
 
When I was there they mentioned they would get back to us by email.

I forgot who I interviewed with. Does anyone know how we could find this information? Thanks.

They emailed me an acceptance video. I didn't call or bother them. I just followed up with Dr. Mejia after my interview and thanked her along with the staff. then the next day I got my acceptance letter.
