I'm curious about Roseman's alternate list. Do they place everybody interviewed but not accepted on there? Or is it only a select few?

In other words, has anybody from the March 7th interview not heard back yet?

Quite honestly, I was so busy thanking them for the opportunity and just so excited that I didn't ask anything else. I wish I had! Sorry
 
I received my acceptance phone call on Monday, the 24th. Good luck to everyone!
 
I know many of you have already but for those that haven't, join the fb group! Meet your classmates! There are a handful of D1s/D2s on their to answer any questions you may have. Congrats 🙂
 
Just a comment to help boost the confidence of those still waiting. I was interviewd with a group of 9 after the last interview date cycle 2 years ago. Of that nine, 5 were accepted during the Summer months. Last year I interviewed again in the last interview group and I was accepted before I even went home over just after the weekend. Of that last group I'd say more than 50% of us got in. Most after being immediately sent to the waitlist and this was in April of last year. Many of my classmates came off the waitlist in April and May. So those of you still waiting it isn't over until you hit August. Still plan for next cycle and what plans you may have to better boost your overall application in the process. Took me many tries, but now that I am here and living my dream the patience and dedication has really paid off.

Anybody else interview on March 7th and not receive any kind of e-mail since then? I found out I was waitlisted by seeing it a week later on the AADSAS portal but did not receive any type of e-mail from the school at all.
 
Did you check every email folder? In the email, I was instructed to fill out all the necessary requirements within a certain time period, so it is time sensitive.

Yes I checked all the folders. I even emailed them last Thursday and still no response. I might just have to end up calling or something.
 
I am on the waiting list, but i will be withdrawing my application tomorrow. Hope someone who really wants it gets in. goodluck

you need to print out the email that you received and send it with the alternate package. I think you need to call them and check whether you are on the list or not.
 
Yea I contacted them last week and then again earlier this week. They said that I am on the alternate list and that I should have received the e-mail but I never actually did. They also said they would accept it if I turned it in now. I Asked them to resend it and never got a response. Now it says "Offer Rescinded by School." I would've rather liked to have been rejected than to know I had a chance but missed it because I didn't receive the alternate packet. There is always next cycle I guess.
 
Any other alternate listed been accepted yet? I'm still hoping to hear something from Roseman.
 
I bet you all that most people on the alternate list will be accepted eventually. I think the wait is to just weed out applicants that have been accepted elsewhere and will not go to Roseman even if given an opportunity.

After all you do have to pay 120k/year to go to an unproven program if you decide to attend Roseman. So to all people waiting, just hang in there

I would also like to point out that Roseman's alternate packet was more intensive then my matriculation packages at other schools and it included a size for the white coat.

When are they supposed to send this? Orientation is in August and I haven't even started getting teeth! My friends at other schools say you gotta have at least 200 teeth for first year.

There isn't really a number of how many teeth you to collect. Collect as many as you can. Yeah you can start collecting on your own. I think the solution is 10% bleach. Put it in a milk jug or something.

I am happy to report that I was just accepted to Roseman University!!! AHHHH!!!!
One of the happiest days of my life.
I interviewed on 03/07 and put on the alternate list.

There is still a hope people!

EDIT: To make my fine day even finer, I had two of my wisdom teeth extracted and put'em right into a jar for me to take them to the school!!!

Just received a call from Dr. Harman and I have been accepted! This is my third time applying to dental school and I'm incredibly grateful for this acceptance. Its all kind of hard to believe..i dont think i'll actually believe it until i see something in writing lol

Congratulations, Jbroza! It's always nice to hear success stories from reapplicants. You have a lot of time to soak it all in! Thanks for letting us know.

I wonder if Dr. Harman always makes calls in the afternoon after 5 pm.

Anyone know how many spots they have left? I really hope I can get off the waitlist >.<
 
It doesn't look like they've accepted anyone from the pre-dec wait list since January.

Don't fret too much. Some may have joined the group, but August has not rolled around yet. There may be some who withdraw their acceptance if they get into another school. That's right, it't not game over yet! You still got some respawns :banana:

Also, some members might be current dental students (the admins, for instance?).

Do you know how many pre dents or current students are in the group?
 
About a dozen of us are current students on the group fyi.
 
Is anyone holding a seat at Roseman still waiting to hear back from their top school? Anyone still holding multiple seats?
