***The Official UCSF Class of 2018 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

I wonder how many of us are on here watching each specific school forum
 
I'm from the South East so unfortunately UCSF is reaching for a dream school...so realistically speaking I have been concerned with SE programs but I am very confused about UCSF. I sent my supplemental app in Sept. 4th but never got a rejection letter but I haven't gotten an interview either...any input about this situation?

Did you get a confirmation email? If not, email them asap.
If you did, they still haven't gotten to some apps yet and kept telling us that "no news is good news".

I never got a confirmation e-mail but it said on the website my application was received so I wasn't expecting one!
 
OMG THE DAY IS ALMOST OVER less than 3 hours when are they going to update????!!!! T___T
 
🙁...well, it's only 2:14pm in CA right now...they have the afternoon to post?

I thought they only call during their business hours california time 9-5pm thats a lot for 88 people in less than 3 hours no?

Chances are they'll only fill half the class today.

I have no idea. I'm still sitting here freaking out, but I do find it strange that it seems no one has heard from UCSF yet...
 
Maybe they're calling, but no one who uses sdn has been accepted yet.
 
Does anybody remember UCSF saying that they were handing out rejection emails on Dec 2 as well?
 
man i really wanted to hear back from ucsf today but i have a feeling i won't.
 
Right?? I think it odd that NO ONE got a UCSF acceptance. On the other hand, does anybody know if someone received a rejection letter today?
 
When I interviewed, I remember them saying something like, "on Decision Day we might end up calling you around 10pm, so don't be surprised if we contact you late!" At the time I figured that meant they'd be calling out all day, but maybe they're just going to surprise us in our sleep...

I remember that as well. Faculty were saying that the dean LIKES to call and notify each person.

Oh it's the Dean that calls out? In that case maybe they're postponing it a day or so; Dr. Featherstone does seem to travel a lot.

I remember during my interview they said it was a variety of people who could potentially call you --> Dean, D2 and D3's, someone from the admissions committee...
 
maybe everyone of them went up to the UCSF tahoe vacation cabin for thanksgiving holidays!
theres enough snow for the slopes now....
but im too poor for that hobby

Yeah, I have decided to give UCSF 3-4 days before I decide that I'm on the waitlist for them. I'm sure they call in batches every day. Woo, keep the suspense alive!
 
Just got the call. Not Featherstone but this lady who's the director of admissions. She's calling from overseas.
 
Just got the call as well! VA resident, interviewed end of October.

wait... really? I missed a call this morning when I was in class, they didn't leave a message. When I called back I got an automated "This is a skype number" message.... hmm..... I wonder if the acceptance is contingent upon you answering your phone, hah.

No phone call yet from UCSF. Has anyone gotten any scholarship from this school?
 
i really hope i get a call today. i hope they aren't done. crosses fingers

Sounds like you missed the call! Weird though that she didn't leave a message...
 
Also, anyone still anxiously waiting to hear word from here for an interview? I'm still dying to hear... it's been a while
