I just had my interview today. It was the chillest thing ever! 🙂
I really enjoyed my time at the USC! There were only about 17 of us or so which was very nice, compare to the interview at University of Pittsburgh where they interview 200 people in one day. Everything is the same with other schools in terms of the format of the day's schedule: greetings, some presentations, introducing each other, etc. After that, we were separated into two groups of about 8-10 people for the PBL session. I will tell you up front, don't worry about the PBL session at all! There is nothing you can do to really prepare for the session. Also, you get to answer two random questions you pick out from a basket (like a beauty pageant even though I hate to say it..lol) and I have to say most were pretty random questions. Everyone in my group was chill, no one trying to go after each or what not so I really enjoyed the session a lot. After that, we get to have a lunch with the students who were all super helpful answering our questions and this is the chance you get to hear directly from students who had to go through the PBL during their first and second year. So yeah I can only say everything was as chill as it could be so go enjoy yourself if you have gotten an interview!

Did your status change from wait listed to offer made or from check back Dec 2nd to offer made?

Yes and another 36 spots will be given probably around Feb.
No I'm not a California resident, though I really doubt that matters since it's a private school
Yes but I think almost 400 or 500 students get interviewed.
They usually send a rejection letter on August if you are wait listed.
