if memory serves me correctly, they do not have to go through undergrad over in europe, they got straight into medical school.

I'll be a resident next year at 23. Not that uncommon outside the USA.

She's actually in Australia...where the same holds true for the "traditional
model" of medical education - high school leavers go into 6 year programmes.
