when we start buying things that the school requires, we need to list it on the sheet that we were given by the Army and send it to them with the receipts right?

well that's great but...what is the extend of stuff I can put on there? is it just books and equipment?? i think things like paper nad pens and stuff is a necessity but do they??? i go through rediculous amounts of those 😀

also lets say i but something and return it...but i already sent them the receipts, are they gonna check to see if i returned something or do I have to actually physically let them know that?

how long does it take for them to reimburse?

do I have to pay with credit cards or can I pay with cash??? Do they care???

and i was told that they prefer that you only fill out one sheet per semester??? is that true???

The handbook is pretty clear as to what they will and will not reimburse. Forget the pens. It usually works out that you will submit the form once a semester because that's when you buy things. Also remember that you must send the original receipts and the form to DFAS, but also a copy to the HPSP Office in Falls Church (that Skyline 6 address). Keep a copy for yourself. It usually takes 4-6 weeks for reimbursement and you can buy stuff any way you please - check, cash, shells, shiny things, etc.

As fas as buying things and returning them. The Army doesn't keep track of the items you purchase. You are an Army officer and above reproach, correct?

😉 😎

also, as long as you can get a school official to write down that a book or instrument is "recommended" or "required" you can submit that with your CDW and get it reimbursed.

well, at least for me they reimbursed for recommended as well. i can't access the online hpsp handbook anymore, but i'm pretty sure it addresses it in there.
