I thought about this, I figured that people would probably vote their schools in as far as 33. It seems like at least 33 schools will get 1 vote or more.

These are the 2011 Power Rankings. Maybe Mayo will not opt out next year, then they will have a shot in 2012.

FYI, this was posted in last year's thread, and will hopefully save people some time through not having to reinvent the wheel:

800 get LOR requests
250-300 get interviews
~72 are offered acceptances (including from alternate list)

personal statement is not read until after LORs are received.

42 MD-only spots available.

Between application and the LOR request there is a $100 "secondary" fee, although there has been no secondary the past couple of years. That's what you pay just to have them read your PS.

IIRC, it usually required a low-level edit by someone w/ direct access to the forum's files (local, FTP, etc.). Usually that was the only way to actually modify a poll since it's not often a supported "feature" (probably because editing a poll after it's posted makes the previous responses suspect).
