Nope! especially because the first one came from my girlfriend who is in England 😀 She called me after I e-mailed her like 10x telling her i had news haha

I meant in terms of the letter from school, but either way it works!

P.S. Did you find out at 3:38 a.m. EDT or did you just get around to sharing that now??

Interview invite for LECOM - Erie! I am so excited about this one it is definitely one of my top choices!!!!!!

I was in class until 10pm and didn't get home until midnight. Figured I'd stop on SDN and figure out what had been goin on today and heard I needed to check lol

Thanks for all the congrats people. Still seems so surreal that I finally got there.
 
So I am officially an underdog... SO glad to find a forum just for us!

My stats:

Applying for 2011 matriculation -

BCOP GPA - 3.44
Overall GPA - 3.88 (I know, not really underdog,but wait...)
MCAT - attempt 1 - 24Q (PS-7, VB-8, BS-9) attempt 2 - 23Q (PS-7, VB-8, BS-8)

the kicker.... I'm 44 in December....

I just found out my 2nd score last night and spent hours in depression. Picked myself back up this morning and forging ahead 🙂

Just got secondaries from LECOM (both PA and FL) - really like this school's teaching philosophy.

Nope, still nothing from UCLA, Western and Touro-Ca
 
Not looking for the pitty party but picked up my first rejection Lecom-E. It hurts... I tore the letter up thinking I'd feel better about it... Nope. Tomorrow we live to fight another day.

At least they told you they rejected you now, as opposed to them either not saying anything period or putting you on a wait list and then rejecting you 4 months down the line, after you had been waiting for that response for 4 months.

Also, I've been rejected (I think...they didn't really send a rejection letter) from schools that are easier to get into than the schools I've gotten interviews from. So this application game is very random...don't take anything personally, and don't count yourself out from other schools...not all admissions committees will be looking for the same thing.

just move on and apply broadly to D.O schools. Ypu have a good shot but applying early is the key. You are getting late now.
 
got a call for an interview at Lecom-B, for 12/10! Do you guys think its possible to call in later and see if they have any earlier dates?

12/10 isn't bad at all, you'll hear back by the 15th. That is the date that I interviewed last year (12/11). Keep an eye in the LECOM-B discussion forum, if someone drops an interview you could call right after and try to grab it. Otherwise, give the admissions office a call every thurs/friday and see if they have any earlier dates. It seems like most schools acceptances go out Wed-Fri so people would be cancelling later in the week.

For AZCOM/CCOM, does the online status update first for interview invites or will you get the phone call first?

just got mine for lecom b today also. sux. i really liked that school and thought i has a shot there. really bummin right now.

true to the underlined. i am pretty happy they didn't keep me in limbo.

to the rest. im hoping it is like that. maybe nsu, kcom, pcom, umd and une, who are nororiously competetive give me a look I guess. Although the only school I REALLY want to get into is DCOM. lol

AZCOM never emailed me either. All of a sudden it was just available to schedule on my portal. I'd keep an eye on that.

Rejected from CCOM today. Doesn't feel as bad with an acceptance in hand.

Oh thanks for that. I'll keep checking the portal then. Yeah I hope I get an acceptence before all the rejection letters start coming in!
 
I just realized, I always hated monday, but now I look forward to them since thats the first day you can start hearing back from schools technically speaking! Ironic

:laugh: True. I heard back from AZCOM on a Monday for interview. Every other school has been wed-friday i think though, including last year.

I also received an invite to Touro-CA yesterday! When are you interviewing? I'm flying from Cleveland and the only flights out of San Fransisco were at 2:50 pm (too close to the end of the interview to be safe) or 11pm... not looking forward to flying in at 1am EST and then taking a red eye back, but VERY excited about the interview invite. I can't even imagine how happy I would be with an acceptance anywhere!!!

Mind if I join the group? I just recently transferred into a private university from a cc. I have a sgpa of 3.35 and a overall 2.8 from the cc. Hoping to pull up the gpa this year and since I am a junior will be planning on taking MCAT this upcoming March :xf:

Currently taking orgo which hopefully I can get a B+ or higher. Very nervous since the time is getting closer and closer each day. Not sure where I will end up, Molecular already got me down since I had to drop the class and take that W.

Invite from KCUMB! this one got me all excited! and its the next day after KCOM so I don't have to fly there twice! Now if only DMU and Western would show me some love!
