I'm looking for advice on how to proceed from my current standpoint: 2.5 weeks left, hitting about 230 on NBMEs (free150 220-230, nbme 1/2 227/229, and most recent: UW Self assesment 236)

How would you hit it from here to get that coveted 240+?

Hammer in FA and Questions? Reread RR Path? What's going to be most efficient to achieve the goal?

Thanks for any help.

i jumped from a 530 to a 610 in 11 days. use the score report to focus on your weaknesses and reread the appropriate chapters in first aid. i also did nearly 1500 Qs in those 11 days.

I also hit about a ten point jump a week after my first 230 on an NBME, so I think it's possible.

But just to muddy the waters, I don't agree with using the score bars as a guide unless you really know it identified your problem. The non-system bars are probably right, but be very careful with the system-based ones.

For example, I did poorly on respiratory and renal on an NBME, but it was really because I needed to go over common UTIs, URIs, and generic tumor markers.

Try reviewing some of your last question blocks and noting down the general topic of each missed question. I did this for about five blocks and pretty quickly realized that I needed to relearn the brachial plexus and drug resistance patterns. If you review the whole system when you just need a tiny part, you'll learn less efficiently.

Go over your weaknesses. I am sure you know what those are. We all have them. When i was doing practice q's and feeling like i did not know something very well i would re-read it over and over in FA/RR until i turned it into a strength.. its easier to pick a new book or review and entire book...but if you feel weak in like in repro or neuro go over those subjects......it will pay dividends it turns of both confidence and points...

I'm in your same boat exactly! I plan to finish up all UWorld, read through FA once more, and spend a few hours/day on my weakest subjects (pharm and biochem). Good luck!
