Therapy Tax Deduction?

I know practicing clinicians can deduct their own therapy, but can Clinical Psychology (Psy.D./Ph.D.) students deduct their therapy expenses on their taxes?

It's still a medical expense, so you can deduct it that way.

While I think this is correct, I believe you'll need a diagnosis code or some way of verifying therapy is for a diagnosable condition, just in case it comes up. If you've been submitting through insurance, of course, you'll already have this.
 
You will need to be able to itemize...most students cannot.
