I was talking to a friend of mine who is applying for residency right now and he believes that there is no such thing as "saving" questions (as in saving USMLE World for later). I was gonna get Kaplan Qbank first and "save" World for later, but he has got me thinking.

Any thoughts on the concept of "saving" questions?

I think the idea is that Uworld questions are very difficult and require immense integration of various topics that you're probably better off "saving" it until your dedicated study period to get maximum benefit (i.e. seeing the big picture) out of it.

Although it isn't a hard and fast rule. Go with Uworld if you want. I personally am doing USMLERx until March and then start using Uworld for about 2 months until my test. It's good because I'm pretty much going through FA while doing USMLE style questions.
