What ECs do you guys do during winter break?

Is anyone doing anything interesting?

I've never had a date in my life.

I guess I will get a date instead looking into volunteering in Africa..

Or I will study MCAT Verbal

winter break's a little too short to do any significant ECs... just enjoy it.

Seriously, winter break>summer break, because it's the one time of year where you don't feel like you need to be doing something. Anything you do during that time is going to LOOK like you were trying to pad your app.

I just eat lots of home-cooked food and watch lots of TV and play lots of video games, and just hang out with my family.
 
I'm going to play in the snow with my dog
 
Seriously, just go home and see the family, go out with friends, catch up on pleasure reading, play your instrument if that's your thing, anything besides more EC's for your app.
 
I'll probably be working at my entry-level food service job to earn a bit of extra $$$. And Sleeping. And Eating. Breathing. Moping. You know, the usual.

Haha, I'm just gonna study some for the MCAT, do a little volunteering at the hospital each Saturday, just as a continuation, and make truffles and other types of sweets. Since it doesn't snow here, I'll probably go to the beach 😉

just curious about some of your insight...

would any of you go on a short term (3 weeks) study abroad for winter break? or would you put that money toward the med school fund...

kind of an once-of-a-lifetime experience versus $$$

worth it?
