This is just my opinion
1. ladies, try not to bring a purse. Purses make you look too dainty and too feminine. Try to put all your important belongings in a professional folder (ie, ID card, invite, driver's license, credit cards, and some cash). Try looking for a professional outfit that has pockets so you can place mints and cell phones (be sure your cell phone is OFF)
2. if you are not use to wearing the shoes you will be wearing for the interview, I would suggest practicing a week or two before the interview so your feet don't die (interviews can be long and most of the time they will have you tour the campus)
3. try not to draw bad attention to yourself. EVERYONE will hear and see you. Leave all personal problems and information at home and be unbiased when other interviewees may be discussing a topic. Either stay out of it or pretend you didn't hear it. Don't talk about your next midterm and how you are stressing out over interviews, schoolwork, applications, etc. Be confident, but not cocky. if people ask you how you did on your interview, no matter how bad or good it was, always smile and say, "i think it went pretty well."
4. ALWAYS remember your interviewers' names. The worst thing you can do is if someone from the school asks you who interviewed you and you say, "I don't remember." When you are done with the interview, say something along the lines of, "thank you, [name]. It was nice meeting you."
5. Ask if it is OK if you can contact them for any other questions. If they say yes, ask for a business card. The business card will aslo be helpful if you want to write a thank you letter.
