Oh man, I hear you! I'm soooo far behind on the reading in all my classes. 🙁

Haha, yeah my exam is tomorrow, and I think I am currently setting the world record for most pages read in one night. AGH!

Right on.

I got my lowest exam score ever on my inorganic chem exam this week.

But hopefully it'll be worth it!

I'm with you - I've managed to keep up so far, but my interviews have just begun.

Let's just say I'm very, very happy that I don't get motion sickness on planes. I spent a good chunk of my flight to and from New Orleans studying Biochem/Neurobio.

"I really hope I get in somewhere, because I'm failing all my classes" thread.

Who's with me?

😀

Totally with you: I've become the class idiot in Latin because I don't have time to translate carefully/thoroughly...

I'm with all of you as well...I don't know how many more times I can say "Can I borrow your notes from last class?" before I am able to qualify as a total mooch!

Don't score too low... Many schools threaten that if your grades are too terrible in the last semesters they will revoke your acceptance. I've never heard of this happenening, even in cases where it could have, but watch out.

Still, considering you get in this year, nobody would bat an eye at C+ to B+ grades. Just hope you don't need to update your grades 🙂

Something tells me that with this group, our GPAs will survive, regardless of our whining.

😀 You bet. A B probably = fail to most of the people reading this forum. It's not your fault though--we've been conditioned this way. The average GPA for an accepted MSTP student is ~3.8. That's harsh no matter how you slice it and leads to a lot of grade anxiety. I figured I should probably say something moderaterly just in case anyone was misinterpreting 🙂

I predict that in the future these same guys will be in med school freaking out about all their exams too. OMG I DIDN'T KNOW THE ANSWER TO SO MANY QUESTIONS I'M GONNA FAIL OUT OF MED SCHOOL NOOOOOOOOO.

I can't imagine how you guys are doing it--I have a flexible employer and I'm only taking one (upper level math) class, and it's still a struggle. Good luck to everyone.

OMG! Have you met me in real life?

(hahaha)

p.s. Just took my molecular bio exam. It was cake

...I think 🙂

YES. i was doing homework the night before my interview, in my hotel room =(

Oh my... I had my first interview this weekend. THought I would do some homework on the plane back to school, but I was just soooo freakin' tired after 2 days of interviewing!

Exams, borrowing notes, research, flying, interviews, flying back, exams, research...

Oh dear. For the first time EVER, I'm not going to hand in a problem set due Friday... because I have no work to show, have not been able to understand the reading (because I missed school all of last week and slept through lecture this week), and have not the time to figure it out... because I leave for an interview tomorrow.

Aaaaaaaargh!

it's hard to impress upon anyone (even other med applicants) just how exhausting 2 days straight of interviewing is. this week i travelled by air 8 hours, slept, did 2 interview days with the requisite 10+ interviews, and caught a flight at the end of the 2nd interview day back, another 8 hours flying redeye. got home at 2 am, got up at 6, and went to work until 5:30.

my roommate wanted to go out for halloween afterwards. yeah, right. i'm usually great about skipping sleep and having a good time, but this is not like pulling an allnighter to write a paper or something.

Welcome to the past 5 weeks for me.....

This has got to be the umpteenth time I've falled asleep over this one particular textbook late at night. Why does it have to be so dry and unengaging when I'm dependent on it for learning the material because I'm missing so many lectures in a row for interviews? Aaaaargh!

Back to my reading (yawn), so I can do this problem set due tomorrow... It's gonna be a looooooong night.
