To those with interviews...are there a lot of spots open for Mondays, or is it really just pick any date? I would assume most people would opt for a Monday so that they don't have to take too much time off of work/school.

Generally they tell you what date the interviews are, not the other way round. Monday seemed to be a less frequently offered interview day than days more to the middle of the week, actually.

i think you are wrong law2doc. i have 4 interviews. 3/4 are on a monday. 1/4 is on a friday. i chose all of them.

I actually think Fridays are quite popular. You don't usually get to choose which day...even if you try to change a date chances are they are pretty booked by now up until late November or December (I tried).
So far, out of 4, 1/monday, 1/thursday, 1/friday, 1/saturday. It depends on the schools though.

I have/had 3 fridays, 1 monday (which I scheduled - UPitt), a Tuesday, and a Wednesday.

Some schools let me give them several dates that worked for me, others let me pick dates electronically on a calendar. I think most schools interview on Mondays, but the spots may fill up quickly. If you're willing to schedule 2-3 weeks later, you may be able to get a Monday interview at some places.

My interview for IU was sent to me via email. It said your interview has been set for sept 13 wich is a wednesday. I dunno how they do it

IU only interviews on Wednesdays.

Of the interviews I received, about half let me pick from a small set of dates (e.g. 3-4 dates). The others just told me what dates they were: one was a Friday and the other is this coming Wednesday. I think the method of scheduling just depends on the school, although it's really nice when they give you a little choice in the matter. 🙂

I think you are wrong on this. I know quite a few schools which interview on Mondays. USF is one just to give an example.

To the OP: Schools generally have a certain day of the week that they do interviews and give you a list of available dates to choose from. If you have a class you ae just going to have to make arrangements with the teacher.

Mine are scheduled mostly on Fridays plus a couple of wednesdays. I probably could have asked for mondays if I wanted them though.
