It is sad how this has become a common place. Maybe these shootings need to be reported and then ignored by the news channels. I can't help but feel that this postmortem fame is what these idiots want.

I hope that everyone on the pod forum is safe as are your family and friends. My condolences for those whom are effect.

Four school shootings in a week.

Godspeed for the recovery of all the victims.

I think I'm going to be sick over this. As for the news channels, I think the reports should not focus on the gunman but should mourn all of the innocent lives that were lost and celebrate the good memories about them, like tributes.

And also, wny does the gunman always kill himself? For once couldn't he/she stick around so that we could kick the sh** out of them? It is frustrating because when the gunman commits suicide, the friends and family of the victims have a harder time getting closure because they never get to hear "why", even though the killing is obviously senseless.

Let's hope for better times and send our thoughts and love to those affected by today.

I think that you are right focus on the victims and do not allow the gunman to even be named.

Scholl's spring break is next week. I skipped classes today to see my gf in Iowa City for valentines day, and I drove trough DeKalb on I-88 right when it happened, but I had no idea. I did wonder why 2 state patrol cars passed me doing about 120 though....
