I feel like my letter writer wrote me a letter in a very expeditious manner, only receiving the AACOMAS email yesterday, although we have discussed it previously. Obviously there is some anxiety that is accompanying this, but I have confidence that it was glowing.

How fast have your letter writers written you a letter, and what were you thinking?

I still haven't received any letters despite asking two months in advance along with a reminder, so I envy you. My hopeful assumption is that your writer has had experience and knew what to say.

To be fair it was only one of the two professors who had completed the letter at light speed. I only hope that your hopeful assumption is correct! 🙂

I would say most people who wrote LORs for me got them completed in about a week or so but they also had a busy schedule. I wouldn’t be worried because most people write them up in one day and it just really depends when they choose to do it haha.

I think each individual has a different time line for LORs. I had one teacher write one for me in under 24 hours while another took 4 months. Most people will not write you a letter unless they feel they're able to write something positive. My mom works as a teacher in a dental hygiene program, and she will decline to write letters to dentists if she feels she can't honestly put in a good word for the student. In other words, she doesn't want her word become meaningless. I would assume your letter writer would feel the same and I'm sure though it only took them a short amount of time that they wrote something honest and probably very similar to what you discussed with them.
