I am reaching the point (week 5 out of 6) where I am so sick of studying that everytime I sit down I feel like falling asleep. I'm having trouble focusing... I'm having trouble motiviating myself... I'm worrying that I will forget everything I learned 5 weeks ago by the time I finish this week of biochem studying...will all the anatomy I crammed in yesterday and today still be there on June 19th?

I hope you didn't learn everything within the last 5 weeks. You learned everything over the past 2 years, so don't worry too much. You know more than you think.

good luck

Thanks!! That's true, I did spend the last two years learning (as best as I could) this info. But there's so many little things that you discover along the way-- and think "I never knew that!" it's easy to let that stuff skew your perception of how much you know.

Anyway, thanks again for the encouragement!🙂

6 weeks! Wow. I've had 3 (to be up on Wed.) and I'm taking it later than a lot of my class. Of course, we start 3rd year on June 23rd.

I hit that same wall (~6-7 week schedule). What I had to do was change up my routine. During the first 4 weeks, I would study for about 7 hours almost everyday, then do questions after dinner for about 2 hours. When my stamina was really fading around week 4, I did only questions/explanation review for 6 hours everyday for about a week and then did nothing else the rest of the day. It was interactive so I didn't fall asleep or get bored, got me to realize what I still needed to review, and gave me the motivation to really focus in the remaining 1-1/2 weeks before test day.

I'm worried about forgetting things too, but I have a horrible memory and I have to put in a lot of work like this to get things to stick. I can usually pick out the right answer to a multiple choice question, but if you tried to pimp me about a topic without prompting me, I probably couldn't tell you very much.

Jaded Soul--that's a good idea--it keeps things interactive so you don't totally zone out. (Easy to do when reading.)

I found that after several weeks of study it does begin to weigh on you. I found a good remedy for me was to move outside for during the day, just being in the sunshine helped to rejuvinate my motivation.

Good luck.
