Hi there,
I'm currently beginning my Junior year at my state school and looking towards applying to vet school. I still have a few prereqs to finish (orgo, genetics, physics) and my GPA is not fantastic. I have been looking into schools in the Caribbean (mainly St.George's) as well as Western University in California. Any thoughts on either of these as choices? Pros/Cons of each? Thanks!!

i'm going to add that western is significantly more expensive than sgu. i wouldnt attend western (over any other school) unless you felt absolutely certain that their teaching style and set up for clinics would be an excellent fit for you.

I work with a vet that went to SGU. She loved it. Compared to the state schools, SGU students get significantly more surgery time. She really emphasizes the importance of the surgery time.

Not sure how long ago she graduated, but this is not currently true. Surgery experience is small, and similar to a cast majority of schools
