I'm wondering with everything going on in the world, do you think schools will see a significant decrease in the amount of applicants?
Yes, No, Maybe. And thats definitive!

In another thread on this topic someone stated that AMCAS had something like 70,000+ register/sign on the first few days after 2021 application opened. Was that an increase in medical applicants? Was that just because everyone is at home and had much more free time to do? Does it mean thar ao many more people will actually apply?

Ask me in October of 2021 and I will tell you. Until then its all just speculation

No. On the contrary, more schools are opening, like California Northstate University College of Dental Medicine in Elk Grove, CA.
California needs another state school, not private school lmao. Biggest state in the US and only have 2 state schools and one doesn't even give in state preference :/
