As stated, I have three more semesters left of undergrad. I have about a 2.7 GPA and I am about to retake a few pre-reqs to increase my chances of getting into graduate school. I have a tight schedule now due to the pre-reqs and desire to graduate on time and get into PT school on time (after the three semesters). Also, even if I wanted to change majors, I'm too deep in my major.

What should I do from here? Has anyone been in a similar situation and changed everything around? How does everyone here stay motivated to keep your high 3-level GPA's?

Thanks!

the only motivation that you should need are the desire to do well in school and the knowledge that a higher gpa means a higher chance at grad school, statistically speaking. if you aren't motivated to do well then there's nothing anyone can say because it has to come from within. you have enough time to at least raise your gpa to around 3 I believe, especially if you're retaking classes. work hard and know that if you do well your grad school options open up.

As nicolej5 mentioned, if you aren't motivated nothing else really matters. I think a big thing for me was choosing my attitude going into classes, you need to have your head in the right place. I was a pretty lousy student when I first started my undergraduate degree partly because I approached each class as something I was just trying to get a grade in to help get a piece of paper. After I returned to school my attitude entering every class was that I was there to learn everything I possibly could, as a result I turned into a perfect 4.0 student. Really trying to learn and genuinely understand all the concepts will make a huge difference.

The other part of it is just being organized with your time. All your teachers probably tell you to stay ahead of class, don't let yourself fall behind. They all say that because it is true!!! You will work significantly less if you force yourself to stay ahead, it also makes for a far more enjoyable experience because you won't be stressed out all the time and the lectures will make way more sense and be a lot more interesting. I think this is a much bigger factor than most people realize.

Anyway, that's just my 2 cents. Good luck!
