What schools would you say are the hardest / easiest to get into?

Well, it is difficult to rank the state schools in that regards due to differing preference standards in their decision criteria and the varying ratios of acceptances offered per in state applicants. Amongst the privates, I would guess that Harvard is the most difficult (not from a qualification standpoint but rather a simple odds viewpoint) because it takes in only 35 per year. Again, from a simple odds perspective, NYU likely offers the best prospect to all applicants. I might add that non of the schools are "easy to get into."

I mis-phrased "easy". The reason I ask is that I am applying late in the game, probably dont have the greatest numbers ~3.1 gpa (take dat wednesday). I was just wondering what schools i should really focus on getting into. Im at the point where i just want to get IN somewhere, anywhere.
