Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine
"The Columbia University Medical Center’s Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine is a recognized leader in rehabilitation medicine in the NY metropolitan area.
It’s ranked as one of the top rehabilitation facilities in the nation. Additionally, many of the providers have been awarded several accolades for their excellence in care and expertise: including being recognized on “America’s Top Doctors” and “New York Magazine Best Doctors” lists.
The department strives to provide the highest quality patient care to those who are experiencing pain or loss of function. The clinicians aim to advance the science and practice of rehabilitation through innovative basic science, translational and clinical research as well as educate trainees of all levels; including medical students, residents and fellows.
Our clinical research program has grown substantially, with a particular focus on stroke, cerebral palsy, and musculoskeletal disorders. Combined with our translational research program in the Columbia Stem Cell Initiative, we are working to develop new regenerative therapies as the next phase in rehabilitative care."
