I've seen a couple threads regarding when invitations to interview begin to be offered. Can anyone shed some light as to when one can expect their last invitation? Assuming one's application is then complete, is it relatively soon after November 1st when the MSPEs are released? Do you know by the end of November, early December, what travel arrangements you'll need to make and whether you can group multiple interviews at a specific geographical location? Did any of you have to make repeat long distance trips? Thanks for the input. 😉

Many programs will not invite any interviewees until after the MSPE is released after Nov 1st, so many/most of your interviews won't come until mid to late November. There are some programs that will invite interviewees without their transcript and dean's letter, I have already received 2 interviews, both within 2 weeks after submitting. Schools that I know for sure are interviewing include Robert Wood Johnson, U Pitt, Wash U, Yale Bridgeport.

At this point, only my CAF, PS, and USMLE Step 1 score have been submitted and I've only recieved one interview. This doesn't concern me all that much this early on. I realize that many programs will wait and a couple have notified me specifically stating that. My concern is when I'll have a better picture of the sum total of invitations offered. For instance, if I fly out west for an interview (knock on wood) in early December, what are the chances that I'll be offered another interview out west after December? Put another way, when will you know that it is unlikely that you will be offered an interview if you haven't been given formal indication one way or the other?
