I've applied to about 25 schools. I just got an interview invite, and I could schedule anywhere from sept-november. It's not my top choice, and I'm afraid that if I do this interview they'll accept me before I have a chance to interview at other places. Is this a plausible worry? Should I schedule in november?

You can hold multiple acceptance for medical school. Interview early.

Don't you have two weeks to respond to each acceptance?

Yes, you can either decline the acceptance, or hold a seat with a refundable 100$ deposit. You can hold multiple seats until May 15th, at which point you must select only one school to attend. By May you should have a good idea of how many acceptances you have. After that, acceptances are usually off waitlists.

If anything you want to interview at the schools you are less excited about first so you can get that real interview experience without the pressure if it were your dream school.

This is only true at some places. I didn't hear about this at any school that I interviewed at. I never had a time limit for responding nor did I pay a deposit.

Point being that while some schools do this, it's certainly not universal.

You'll afraid that if you interview there they'll accept you? Lol, that's a new one. 😀
