I know that once AADSAS has received all of your transcripts and have processed them, this is when all the schools can start to see your application online.
So say we e-submitted a week back but our transcript won't be received by AADSAS till next week, does this mean that you will be on the same level as someone who e-submits next week but already has received transcripts?

I think so... which is pretty lame. I submitted my transcripts June 12th and they didn't "receive" them until the 29th. So, submitting my application on the 13th doesn't mean anything because it took them 3 weeks to get to my transcripts.
I think that it is really luck of the draw whether or not they get to your transcripts quickly and verify them quickly. One of my friends sent them in on the 16th and they were completely verified on the 24th. So even though I sent mine in earlier and submitted my application earlier, his will get mailed out to the schools about 3 week before my application will.

I guess my question is will it matter when the schools receive our applications? Is the beginning of July any different than the end of July? I heard that schools usually don't even look at applications until August, but I wonder if you will be at the bottom of the pile if they receive yours at the end of July versus the beginning. Any ideas?

Yes. Until AADSAS processes your transcript, DAT scores and LORs schools and you submit your app, schools will hold your file and review it after all these components are in place. It sucks but it is what it is.
