Tip for future applicants/Self-pity thread

That is what I thought you might be referring to, I dont know for PCOM PA but I talked with the people at PCOM GA about that same issue and they told me it was fine for me to have a letter from two science professors instead (like many of the other schools do)

What?? Man I'm going to call PCOM-PA myself and find out. Because honestly I don't understand how a LOR from a dean saying yes he/she is in good standing can be better than 1 or 2 science LORs saying this person is a great student and has shown a lot of initiative and determination in becoming a doctor. Seriously! He did e-mail them a while back and their response in the e-mail was just a copy of what is listed in the website as the LOR requirements.

Woo hoo!! New avatar! I would like to thank megboo for telling t-funk how to do it so I could "listen" in and try it too! 😀

I thought you would be happy to hear that. I just called and explained my situation and said 'all of the other schools are letting me do this, can I do it for your school as well' And they said no problem

The way I did it was I got a letter from my pre-med committe and because I'm a post bacc, I had to get a letter from the dean of my undergrad school saying I was in good standing. That's all.

I think that will work for me, the dean of my undergrad school that is. It's not working so well for my husband. If they tell us what they told Laura then my husband might be able to apply also.
