Hey all, I just want to start off by saying I am extremely fortunate to have 5 interviews already but I wanted to get advice in regards to having multiple interviews within the same week! I have an interview scheduled Nov 9th in Florida and will be staying out there until the 11th. I will fly back home to CA and then Nov 14 will fly out to Wisconsin for my Nov 15th interview and will fly back the same night after my interview. Then I have to turn around and drive to Arizona the next day for an interview on Nov 17th.

If anyone has been through something like this before, what are some things I should keep in mind? I should have enough time to get my suit dry cleaned in between my Florida and Wisconsin trip but most likely not between Wisconsin and Az.

God bless your soul. I did this and freaking hated my life. My only advice to you would be to pamper yourself. Check yourself into a hotel with a sauna and a gym

I had a week span where I had 3 interviews to attend. Drove 4hrs to and from one, flew out 3 days later and stayed 2 nights, flew back then drove a couple hrs to another interview the next day. It was exhausting, but completely doable (I even fit in a work shift lol). How far is the drive to AZ? If you arrive early enough before the 17th, I think you should be fine as long as you rest.

I have done 3 coast-to-coast interviews in the span of 7 days... it's a bit of a challenge. My #1 piece of advice is to just enjoy it. I never prep much for my interviews - basically know yourself, your experiences and how to use them to answer questions. My prep is reviewing the school mission, what unique programs they offer, and what would interest me in attending that program.

So my advice would be to not worry about cramming prep questions, but rather get rest when you have the chance and take it easy a bit. Definitely have an itinerary for your travel and know when you have some free time to unwind.

By the way, you don't need to dry clean your suit every time you wear it; dry cleaning too often actually stresses the fabric. You can usually wear a suit at least a handful of times before you need to dry clean it. Just make sure you are hanging and letting it breathe after you wear it.

Lol I like you. Very sound advise

Im in SoCal so the drive is not too bad probably a good 6-7 hours. My grandma lives fairly close to the school so I will just stay with her. I will definitely cram in sleep whenever i can!

I will definitely do my best to enjoy it! I haven't traveled much in the past few years so this will be a nice couple of trips. I appreciate the advice. Two of the interviews are traditional the last one is MMI which I am not terribly worried about. I am pretty quick on my feet but will watch some videos before hand 🙂

Seconding the advice about not dry-cleaning your suit too often. But (for guys) do have extra plain white T shirts and a clean freshly pressed shirt and a spare tie. An extra wouldn't be a bad idea. For women, a spare blouse (something you can hand wash and iron in the hotel room if needed) and definitely, extra nylons.

Good thing is the only difference in prep for the first 2 is figuring out a new why this school answer. You can also recycle a lot of stories/answers to common questions for your mmi

In general though, get some sleep and chug some coffee in between

Try to get a lot of sleep so you look fresh for each interview. Also, don’t complain about traveling or having so many interviews in one week during any interview. Be positive about it. Basically just remember that each interview is entirely separate even when they tend to blur together for you.

Dude, my first thought is to enjoy it! You get to travel all across the country, see so many neat places, sounds like fun to me! Enjoy the opportunity for all this traveling, it will make things seem less tiresome or stressful.

I have been hearing from a lot of people that adcoms have been asking about where else they have interviewed/is this their first interview because of the new report change coming this year. DO you advise i be honest and say how many interviews/where if asked? On one hand i could use it in my favor to show a particular school that I would prefer to go to their school on the other hand yield protection

i want someone to post a “tips for 0 interviews in one week?” thread haha

but i mirror the poster who said pamper yourself (if you have the cash). Makes it less exhausting. or fun.

It’s fine to be honest just don’t sound like you’re annoyed about traveling so much. Be glad you got interviews.

I went through the Atlanta airport 6 times in one week last October. It sounds crazy looking back on it, but it honestly wasn’t that bad. By the end of it, I had packing a carryon down to an art form. Just make sure you plan ahead. You shouldn’t need to dry clean your suit. I wore a few different ones during interview season, but I could easily have just changed out my shirts for those interviews and then dry cleaned my suit afterward.
