I would guess pre-Dec is just about done. I imagine they'll be meeting in the next 10 days or so to fill the the first round of acceptances, then later in December to issue more invites, especially UTSD.
 
I received an invite last Friday from UTSD for December 3rd. This confirms that the Pre-December 2nd interview invites for UTSD are likely done.
 
Just an FYI, I believe BCD will have only 2 more interview dates (Dec 4th and 6th). Good luck.
 
The school rank preferences tab doesn't show anything for me even though I interviewed. Is that only for med applicants?
 
How did you get this information?
 
So just curious, what's everyone's order of preference of the 3 schools?
 
Do any of you guys know how many offers the Texas schools give out on Dec 2nd?

Baylor and SA are around 100-120 each (I think Baylor may be fewer), with both trying to fill or nearly fill the class, while Houston only sends out 50, since they continue serious interviews for two more months.

I thought SAs curriculum was the best. I saw the best chance to do some really interesting procedures, as well as get into cosmetics. I also appreciate the suburban campus. I got to talk to a 4th year who ranked very highly in her class and she was the most prepared student I talked to at any school. At least that was my impression. I only spoke to about 10 fourth years total, so it's a small sample.

Baylor had a lot of outreach programs that spoke to me and has the ideal location since I'm already in north dfw. The commitment to diversity is something that is truly important to me, and I have a strong desire to do community health work when I graduate. It's adequate in every aspect of the school, and students get a ton of clinical exposure. My wife works here and it would save us thousands.

Houston had the curriculum that seemed the most innovative, but it's somewhat new and perhaps unproven. The school is gorgeous and I would be happy there, I just find living in Houston rather undesirable.

Realistically, if I got into all 3 or only 1 I would be very happy. They are all fantastic schools. None is better than another. That's all nonsense. There are differences, but nothing so substantial to rule out one. It's a fit type of thing, but I felt comfortable everywhere. So, we shall see...
 
You Texans are really lucky. You guys got some fantastic dental schools, at the cheapest prices in the nation. And you live in a state with a booming economy. I'm jealous.

For the most part, people who grew up in Houston would hate to move to Dallas, and vice versa. A sort of hatred just naturally grew between the two cities.

Ahh I'm so excited!! So we know Houston will notify later in the morning, I remember them telling us at Baylor it would be midnight, does anybody know if San Antonio is midnight too? I don't remember them saying anything specific about it.

San Antonio said midnight! I'm not sure if they update TMDSAS though or if they send an e-mail? I hope they send an e-mail at midnight since I'm not a Texas resident and I applied through AADSAS.

SA emails before 12:15. WHEEEEEE. I'm going to go see Catching Fire to kill 3 hrs. I'll be home at 10, then it's time to sweat!!!
 
Is it 12 central time for SA and Baylor?

I have only interviewed at San Antonio and Baylor so far, I pushed back my Houston interview until jan so there's only a chance to hear from two tonight. I have no idea if I'll hear from them or not. Fingers crossed!!!
 
I have a 7-paged essay due this Tues, lab practical Weds, and 4 other finals, but could not focus on any of them
4 more hours. I'm waiting for Houston and Baylor.
I am extremely anxious right now.

Not enough upper division bio. I'm in 10 hrs now, will be straight As so I'm hoping they accept me after the academic update!

I'm sure they will if not before then. If they invited you to interview, they were probably willing to look past the lack of upper division bio. And if you're taking more now even better!
 
Darn, I am applying next cycle. I am just hoping I will be competitive.

😀 It's almost show time. Last year it was 12:05 for SA, 12:09 for Baylor (first reports), so don't get discouraged too soon! I'd hold out hope until 12:30 minimum, then go to bed -.-
