So I basically BOMBED my 2 exams in nuerobiology because even though I studied, they were ridiculously difficult. I calculated that even with A's on the next two exams, I still will only end up with a B.

My situation is pretty dire, I BOMBED my freshmen year (2.3 first sem, 3.0 second sem, 2.8 third sem). I intend to prioritize on my work this sem, and I have A's in all my other classes so far….you think I should drop this? how is this going to look?

What's 'bombed'? C? D?

If it's a class you need for your major, I'd stick it out. If you dropped, retook and bombed again, that'd look worse than walking away now.

If you're just taking it for the hell of it and you don't have many drops, don't worry about it.

J/W, why are you taking neurobio as a soph?

withdraw. the chances of pulling A's on the next two exams are probably slim considering you put you put heavy hours into the first two and still bombed. so you're looking at a C, which won't help your already dangerously low gpa. don't worry about how a W will look...your first two years will look messy, but if you can turn things around from here on out, they will be more likely to forgive it. your top priority right now is to bring your numbers up.

@ amak: I got a C on the first test and failed the second one 🙁 🙁 🙁

I'm a year ahead in my bio courses because of AP and this was the only elective I could take that fit into my schedule this semester….

Im only taking about 16 credits this sem. If I dropped this then I would be at 13 credits which is very low….is it better to get 4.0 with 13 credits or take 16 credits with another B?

You should have just taken your intro Bio classes for the GPA boost instead of using AP credit.

I would drop unless it puts you in a really bad situation (ie below full time, or something else).

Yup, bail.

It sounds like you really want to get out of the class. Just withdraw.
