To get achiever or no? If so, which?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you are are set on getting achiever the 3 test should be enough in my opinion.. That'll give you enough time to take them and (most importantly) go over them and focus on weak areas

I did every achiever PAT test, I think it's seven tests, and it was really worth it. My real DAT had a killer PAT section and without achiever I wouldn't have scored so well, 25. I didn't really use achiever for anything else so I can't speak to that

Thanks everyone! Ill be doing at least the 3 test version. That will probably be it, but I may change my mind in the next couple of days. Thanks again for the input!

achiever was a waste for me. Its felt to difficult and killed my confidence. Qvault is a much better way to spend your time and money imo.

achiever put (more) hair on my chest and didn't shake my confidence at all. i knew it was the god-mode version of dat exams so that allowed my psyche to 'get' that i was merely training hard for the real thing.

get the three test version and take time in between each.

Will do, but I have 13 days left so there won't be much time between each unfortunately.

How far did you get in practice exams and studying ?

I've gone through the destroyer for bio and Gchem once and reviewed my Gchem mistakes, have done all but three Kaplan full length tests and most of the materials (except math), a few qvaults for each of the sciences, and one or two of bootcamp for sciences. (Ik it's a lot but I got Qvault and Kaplan cheaper than what they originally were- Qvault from a previous taker and Kaplan had a deal PLUS messed up pretty badly and didnt have a teacher for our class so they took off a lot there too) that's all practice test wise tho.

i would get the achiever tests. they were tremendously hard but to be honest made me think in a way that no other exam was able to simulate (with the exception to some topscore questions). Achiever was a beast but well worth it. helped you brush up on your weaknesses and really kept you humble during your practice tests.

if cost is an issue. just think, if you don't do as well as you like you may have to retake at which the cost is a whopping 400 bucks (ridiculous). If you buy achiever and you do well...well..thats the end of that haha. good luck! don't lose hope and stay focused even if you think you are doing horrible on the real deal (and trust me you will feel like you bombed) but you will do well!
