Is it general recommendations to take step2? 233 on step 1 applying IM 2023. Would I be shooting myself in the foot if I only took one exam?

Do you want to apply to academic IM? If so then you should. If you are aiming for a community program then its okay without step 2.

How's your level 1 score? I think as long as you pass level 2 you should be good and taking step 2 at the same time and do well.

What specialty are you thinking? My level 2 was also lower than my level 1 and I matched but again I went to FM.
