to take upper level bio classes as undergrad or go to pcom biomed program

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I really do not know what to do.

I have plans to enroll as a full-time student at a local university pursuing a biology bachelor's degree (a second degree program). I have taken all the pre-reqs for med, and several upper level courses. In fact, I am an unsuccessful first time applicant.

However I got into PCOM's biomed program today.

I am wary of the competitive nature of post-bacc programs. I think I have a better chance at getting good grades in a traditional undergrad program. I would be taking graduate level classes anyway such as microbio, immunology, genetics, etc. (Often undergraduates can take these classes which are offered to both grad and undergrad students).

I feel that all I need to do is take upper level classes and do well in them. So which is the easier path? Taking classes with graduate students at PCOM, or with undergrads at a local state university?

3.2 GPA, 3.1 science, 29 MCAT

Don't mind whether MD or DO, but of course, MD would be nice (but obviously will take more work)

Well, first of all, you have to decide for yourself what to do. It all depends, are you comfortable enough to take advanced biology classes at an undergrad institution. Do you think you can spare at least 3-4 years of your life. If you think you can spare at least several more years of your lifego there. If on the other hand you wanna start chugging along, go to PCOM's biomedical program. If you are "wary" of the hard work, maybe you should reconsider medicine, or if its just a matter of the biomedical program's atmosphere contact students who are currently enrolled or have been in the program. The biomedical program is a more fast track to medicine than the undergrad crap, and tests you if you have the ability (or desire really) to become a doctor. Your stats look good.
