I really do not know what to do.
I have plans to enroll as a full-time student at a local university pursuing a biology bachelor's degree (a second degree program). I have taken all the pre-reqs for med, and several upper level courses. In fact, I am an unsuccessful first time applicant.
However I got into PCOM's biomed program today.
I am wary of the competitive nature of post-bacc programs. I think I have a better chance at getting good grades in a traditional undergrad program. I would be taking graduate level classes anyway such as microbio, immunology, genetics, etc. (Often undergraduates can take these classes which are offered to both grad and undergrad students).
I feel that all I need to do is take upper level classes and do well in them. So which is the easier path? Taking classes with graduate students at PCOM, or with undergrads at a local state university?
3.2 GPA, 3.1 science, 29 MCAT
Don't mind whether MD or DO, but of course, MD would be nice (but obviously will take more work)
