I keep reading how imperative it is that you don't repeat information from the primary on your secondary essays, but I was just wondering if this is referring to copy and pasting information, or if this also referring to repeating themes you may have touched on in your primary application?

I wrote 1-2 sentences in a most meaningful description in my primary stating that I learned to troubleshoot various issues while heading a research project. In my adversity essays, would it be appropriate to elaborate on this and provide an in-depth anecdote on a big mistake I made while heading the research project, and how I coped/learned to troubleshoot from the situation? Or should I just talk about a whole other challenge I've encountered that I've never mentioned?

If you're expanding on 1-2 sentences that's most likely fine.

Repeating info is probably like saying the same thing twice without additional depth or something.

Also, it's probably good to focus on a different angle of that activity/experience.
