I am seriously considering applying to harvard. Is it worth spending $160 on it? I mean, the name sounds so cool!

I don't think I have a shot due to my poor gpa 3.4, the official guide says the median for oGPA for 2007 was 3.82. I did fairly well on the DAT though.

I already spent $3850 on the application only I don't see much difference between $3850 and $4000 anymore. 👎 (sold my car!)

Please give me an honest opinion! my stats are in the predent link.

Man, you sold your car? What would you do if you end up going to UCLA? You know you need a car in LA. 😉

Btw, I think you should add it if it's one of your top choices.

Well the GPA isn't Harvard level but you never know, your scores should get you an interview and its still a good GPA so if you have a good interview you never know. Hows your extra curriculars? Im sure they like a ton of research or something weird, but youre right its not a huge difference and even if you think you wont get it you don't want to regret not applying for the next 10 years

alright i jsut got my second mcat score (35S up from 32Q) GPA is 3.7 is it worthwhile throwing in some late apps to say chicago, or cornell, or is it too late for it to be even worth trying them.

Wrong forum bud this is dental, and as much as I would like to help you I don't know diddly about med school applications 😉

I seriously doubt it's too late to apply to Harvard. Your stats are solid, so like someone else mentioned above, the cost is worth the future regret.

Totally unrelated, but scubamoose your stats are around what is normally accepted at those medical schools so I would say go for it (I never was pre-med, but have a lot of friends who always talk about med school stats)

Good luck to both 👍

It's only a name with a DMD in the end. Allows you to do the same if you attended any of the 50+ other dental schools.

If the tuition costs are feasible, go for it.

man, this is month old thread... i ended up applying to harvard. We will see 🙂
