Okay so I have just recently postponed my usmle step 1 test... I've been studying for the passed maybe 2 months (realistically mainly just for a month of hardcore studying) and I did two practice and realized I needed to reevaluate some things.
I did UWSA 1: 192 (about a week before my test date)
UWSA 2: 206 (2 days before my test date)... Followed by cancelling
My goal is about 225-230 (or higher of course).
So realizing that 206 is no where near my goal and that 2 days is not enough time to jump 20+ points, I cancelled.
Now my questions... Or dilemma:

Part 1: How can I bump my score within 1 month? I've done all of u world already and the 2 practice tests... Do I go over FA again? Any other resource?

Part 2 problem: I plan on doing the Canadian test in March which I should start studying for in 2 weeks along with my cores so that really adds a lot of stuff to my plate; step 1, mccee (canadians), core rotations. My plan which I think is better for me and which I wanted to get feedback on was... If I study hard until March for Canadian test I can then do the step 2 after as I heard that they are very similar to one another. And following that I can do the Step 1 that summer?

I don't know if that sounds reasonable or not but just looking for advice? Thoughts? Concerns?

one word. PATHOMA. do it religiously with FA and take notes on the uworld q's you got wrong and you will see your scores sky rocket. as for the part 2 problem. can't really help you there.

The usual method is
FA x 3-4
Pathoma x 2-3
UW 1-2

Most can not expect to just sit down and read through FA once and start hitting 230+. Except on here...........😀

You will need to take NBME 15 and 16. Free 138. And also know that UWSA 2 overpredicts for most by around 20 points.

SO, that 206 is probably inflated. Time to get to work. Might need 4-6 weeks. :luck:
