Was just curious how these compare. No similar threads were found suprisingly 🙁

Is the layout the same too? Where it has 1 question on the top and the essay is right below it. Then when you hit next all it does is change the question?

That's correct. On the real DAT, you are given the passage with each question. When you hit next, all that changes is the question.

Thats amazing, I like this format a lot more. So its EXACTLY like topscore then?

And did you find it easier/harder/on par with topscore.

I always felt I wasnt a good reader and I scored a 17 and a 20 so far

The format of the real DAT was question on top with passage on the bottom in its own embedded window. I think that's how TopScore was as well.

I felt that TopScore was on par with the real DAT. It offers technical and scientific passages, which were similar to the passages on the real DAT.

The only thing I feel is that top score doesnt ask very conceptual questions. Theres no questions I had to actually think about and they were all found in the artciles. Is this how the real DAT will be?

To make this clear, in the REAL DAT, even if you are in the middle of the passage, if you click next, the question changes but the passage still stays in the middle instead of going back to the first sentence?

Before you are given the questions in the RC section, you have a full-page view of the whole passage, with a scrolling bar. You then click "Next" and you are taken to the questions. There is a question with answer choices and the passage is in a window on the bottom with its own scroll bar. When you move on to another question, the entire passage will reload, causing you to go back to the first sentence of the passage. To help you keep track of the whole passage, you can use your eraser board to note down what each paragraph is about, and refer back to it when you are answering your questions.

That's the only difference between the real DAT RC section and TopScore's RC section (the passage will move to the beginning sentence after each question).

Aw, I got excited for a second thinking that the passage wouldn't reload. Haha.
Thanks!

Yeah I thought it would be where you have the passage on page one then each question is its own individual page so if I wanted to go back to the passage to reference I would have to go back to the beginning.
Huge relief. I got a 20 on the past 2 RC's wanted to make sure it was no difference.
I still feel there arent any conceptual questions on Topscore though. There more just simple facts from the articles.
