Did you not see that one? It was probably the first entertaining thread I saw when I joined. It was in allo though so many people here may not have seen it. It was almost as epic as the PreMedProdigy thread. A student apparently borrowed this girl's SOAP notes, but the girl told the attendings that he stole them. So there was all this drama and the girl's identity ended up being revealed and what school she went to, and many of her classmates were openly criticizing her. I think they've completely deleted the thread though. Those were just the 3 threads that came to mind when I made the poll.
 
This is seriously the most productive thread on SDN to happen for awhile guys...

Oh Damn, makes me wish I'd read more than the first page of that thread.
 
I just re-read the pubic bone one, and it's even more funny because it's sort of a historical snapshot of the internet before trolling was invented. People are openly questioning like, "did it ever occur to you guys that maybe this person is just trying to get a rise out of us?" :laugh:

The only reason I noticed it is because it was constantly on the front page from being so active.

Search function? Good to know. I was about to start an MD vs DO thread cause I couldn't find an old one.
 
Also read 'Funniest Chief complaints.' I read somewhere that the writers of House, MD used some of them in the show.
 
OMG I just started reading the pubic bone thread, its awesome!

"I'm sure that the doctor would also try to stimulate me so he can examine my pubic bone through my erection. To me, this would be the most embarassing thing ever."

I think he gets a "best troll" award

I actually almost got banned for that thread because I posted the female version of the scumbag meme, which just so happens to have the same name as the girl, and I think I got put on hold or something for privacy violations

I think 'the D card' is like a secret password used to identify SDNers in the wild

Ouch. That's unfortunate. SDN is really strict about privacy violations and is willing to instaban you within a moment's notice... most of which is through Facebook revealing etc. etc.

I think the thread you mentioned was deleted. I couldn't find it (not surprising, it's likely due to privacy violation).
 
Bump for entertainment's sake. @Reckoner you should probably post in here so people can get the links to the streampaw threads. She's earned her spot in history.

ITT: OP claims that his medical school took pleasure in expelling him just one week before graduation for missing a few classes a long time ago and wants to know if he can right the injustice by finishing medical school elsewhere. Then, over a year later, the story is picked up by the Canadian media and SDN finds out about it. It turns out OP skipped 12 out of 13 shifts in one of his fourth year rotation and then forged shift evaluations from attendings to apply for graduation anyway!

It's a great read especially if you read every single post (less than 100 posts total, so it's manageable).

I thought we were supposed to vote in the poll, and then post in the thread if we voted for other. I voted for other and then posted in the thread. The fact that it is a duplicate will allow others to know it has been voted for twice, hopefully.

I will never forget that guy. Poor dear. I feel like he was just misunderstood. It WAS hilarious though lol..

One of my few wishes in life is that this thread lives on like the "worst admissions staff in the country" thread. :xf:

I don't think so, I'm pretty sure it was Ashley and some med student on here. It was so random lol. All I remember is she started a thread one late night because she was bored or couldn't sleep and he and her chatted by themselves the entire thread getting to know each other and stuff. He ended up calling her to sing or make noises then gave her med school advice or something.

I remember the thread. It was weird so I just left pretty early on. It wasn't that long ago (within the past 2-3 months) IIRC.

I took an SDN sabbatical late summer/early fall of 2013 and I'm nearly positive I came across it just before going to bed not too long after I came back at the end of January. I know I was reading it on my phone and I didn't start using SDN on my phone until that time.

The original was honestly pretty good and actually goes back a ways. IMHO I think the joke has been pretty overused, unfortunately.
