For those of you who do total joints and work with surgeons who use the peri-articular injection cocktails, do any of them use dexamethasone as part of it?
We routinely added solumedrol, however, this drug is unavailable to us now due to drug shortages so now I'm looking for an alternative. I was only able to find one paper using ~6mg of decadron but not sure how this is going to fare in comparison to the solumedrol.
Any suggestions?
