What is your backup plan if you do not get into your desired Pharmacy school?
Do you want to...
Become a Physician Assistant? Become a Registered Nurse? Become a Chiropractor? Go into Anesthesiology?
I think that Anesthesiology makes around $225k a year, twice the amount a Pharmacist would make. It takes 2-3 years to complete the program, whereas a traditional Pharmacy school takes 4-5 years to complete.

You said it only takes 2-3 years to become an anesthesiologist? You must be kidding, right? Next time, do some search before posting anything like that. Here are the info from wikipedia:
In the United States of America, anesthesiologists are physicians (MD or DO) whom have chosen to specialize in anesthesiology. ..........After medical school, a physician choosing anesthesiology as his or her specialty has historically completed a year of internship and then three years of residency. Prior to circa 1985, the residency was two years following internship. Today physician training programs in the United States without exception require four years of residency training for board certification eligibility in the specialty of anesthesiology (usually one year of general medical or surgical training followed by three years of clinical anesthesiology training under the tutelage of experienced anesthesiologists, usually faculty at medical school hospitals). Today, after graduating high school, physicians specializing in anesthesiology complete at least ten to twelve years of education and training prior to becoming eligible for board-certification.

Anesthesiologist make $450k a year and require a Medical Degree license. The assistants do not need a MD degree, and hence takes only 2-3 years program to complete. They do make $225k a year which is the top ranked jobs in the United States. I would never become an Anesthesiology because getting a MD is hard.

its the shuttle service that takes you to your hotel. Touro advertises for them in the letter about your interviews. but supposedly it is the cheapest way to go.

the quality inn doesn't have a shuttle service going from the airport to the hotel (and visa versa) you'd have to rely on the evans shuttle
i called and the guy told me about the discount

a question for anyone familiar with the area:
guys, do you think someone who did not register in the suggested hotel can still use their shuttle to and from the school on the day of the interview? also, are there any other ways of getting off Mare Island? how does one get from the school to the ferry in Vallejo? i'm thinking about staying in SF, but still unsure on how i'm going to get back that day... help!

can you walk from the school to the ferry over the bridge?
can you walk from the school to the ferry over the bridge?
That's a long walk, as the school is about a couple miles away from the bridge.

pharmd, thank you so much for the info. is there a way to get off the island though, a bus to vallejo or something?
Due to some LOR problems I wasn't able to send my pharmCAS as soon I wanted to send it. Well I just recently received the request to write the supplemental application. I was wondering who has received the request to fill the supplemental, but after sending it in did not receive invitation to interview? I'm trying to balance between timing (rolling and i'm kinda late as it is) and being completely thorough which may take a few weeks (considering it took me 2 months to write my PS for PharmCAS to make sure it didn't have any grammatical/spelling/etc errors and included as much of what I wanted to say).
Hi, guys!
does anyone plan to take evan shuttle from SFO?
I booked the courtyard, and plan to take a evan shuttle as Touro recommended.
BUT I just googled evan shuttle bus and found they don't make a stop at courtyard.....
I am not familiar with that area and getting nervous...
Is is better to reserve super shuttle?

OK guys, the moment of truth is finally here.
Good luck to all of you,

Anyone interviewing on 10/25?
Yup. I'm doing one on the 25th. You?
Ok maybe you guys can explain this for me. I was looking on the pharmcas website at the accredidation status of pharmacy schools. When turo;s status came up it said that it was a " candidate**". I do understand that the school is now in the process for becoming accredited ,but how will this affect the students. Also, (hypo) I got accepted to turo cop this fall while it is just a candidate for accredidation and when i graduate it is accredited i will count as i graduated from an accredited school correct?

I'm not sure exactly, but from my understanding, being accredited gives credibility to the school for employers who may be more comfortable hiring someone from a school that have been well established (i.e. USC). I don't really think it matters that much if you get in after the program becomes fully accredited. The bottom line is that Touro is a pretty new school and employers would more likely hire someone from one that is more established. If for some reason Touro doesn't become fully accredited, you might have some trouble transferring credits. Maybe getting a residency at another school maybe more difficult to do. But it seems like Touro has a pretty solid curriculum at the moment and will likely become fully accredited soon.

Yup the 25th also. I'm driving up north from the LA area.
For those who got interview invites did you double space or single space the personal statement question? I'm so used to double spacing, but one page double space seems too short and wouldn't really be an essay, just two paragraphs.
i singled spaced mine
good luck 👍
i singled spaced mine

okay thanks... because everything else was double spaced kinda threw me off
good luck to everyone who has invites!!!
this is gonna sound stupid, but I have yet to submit the supp for touro b/c I just got invited to do it recently. Do I still have a chance?
My guess is that almost everyone who applied early and got to send their supplementals in already got accepted to interview. It will gradually get more competitive and will start weeding more people out of those who send in supplementals IF they are finding a lot of great candidates from earlier interviews. Since they just barely started, I think the chance is very good for now, but will get harder as we reach november. This is just my educated guess.

Can you guys tell me how long it took to finish the supplemental application? It's been 2 weeks for me and I'm almost done... wondering if I should keep fine tuning it or just send it in with a few possible grammatical errors. Want to be early since its rolling, but I'm also afraid of being rejected because of my supplemental. Such bad luck with having 3 midterms for the last 2 weeks and trying to write an essay at the same time.
touro asked to submit a supplemetnal today. included in the package was a postcard, tha tasked for a LOR from a science faculty, even though touro recieved 3 LORs via pharmcas (1 from pharmacsit and 2 from faculty)...anybody else have a simliar problem?
Lee, i wouldsubmit the supplemental ASAP since theyre rolling admissiosn.
