I got an email a few weeks back saying I was put in their reserve pool/waitlist. And I thought I did well on the interview too...(i interviewed back in early october fyi)

From what I've read from previous posts you have a good chance of being accepted. Don't lose hope! Are you applying anywhere else?
 
How long does Touro usually take in getting back to you for an interview invite after submitting the supplementals? Thanks in advance!

Between 1 and 2 weeks I believe. If you don't get one within that time frame doesn't mean you wont get an interview. I think any time after november is a very busy time for admissions

yea i hope so! maybe they put me on the waitlist because i'm not done w/ biochemistry yet and that is a prereq course that they require...

I actually applied to a few in CA (Northstate, WesternU, Touro, UOP) and some out of state (UH Hilo, Midwestern AZ/IL, Roseman Univ, PCOM)...but so far I've only been on waitlist -_-

Do you mind posting your stats?
 
So the timeframe from interview to offer of admission is typically 2 weeks here? Do they make you do background check/drug screen right after acceptance?

I got invited to an interview tomorrow but I have to rearrange my whole schedule to do so ... though that might be better than doing it in January.

Not super wowed by Touro's NAPLEX passing rate stats but the fact that it's in NYC (where I'm from) is appealing.

Decisions are sent out the first/second week of every month. At least thats what we were told at the interview. I interviewed beginning of November and still haven't heard. I do expect a response no later than Friday.

I see. Are you from the NYC metro area though? Where else have you interviewed with? I like Touro too, but the job market is really giving me a second thought. We should meet up soon to have a chat if you're not too busy.

Im from maryland and yes there is lots of talk about the job market and saturation of pharmacists but I'm going into it because it's a field of great interest to me and I plan on making the most out of it and with it. Am I worried about the job market? Yes! But this is what I really want to do
 
congrats to all of you who got in!

i mailed my supplemental on 11/21 and got an email on 11/25 saying it was received and i'm "under review". haven't heard anything since but in the email they said to check the supplemental tab in 2-3 weeks and there's nothing under my supplemental tab. from what i read here it seems like you guys got an email with prereq verification before the interview invite? should i be worried?? i really want to go here 🙁

I don't think there is any reason to be worried. The 2-3 weeks has not been exhausted. Also bear in mind that we just has a break, thanksgiving, so I'm pretty sure they are super busy. All correspondence was sent via email not through pharmcas supplemental tab. I know how you feel and how nerve racking it can be with this whole admissions process but try to relax and keep the faith. I'm sure you'll be alright.

thanks for your reassurance 🙂 yeah i think i'm just psyching myself out too much thinking about it. hopefully there's good news soon!
 
Accepted via email today. Unfortunately, I will most likely give up the seat. I met nice people at the interview, too 🙁

The interview was not so bad but I didn't fall in love with this place. It stinks because I'd love to stay in New York but Buffalo really wowed me whereas Touro did not.

Has anyone been admitted without a bachelors degree. I am about 5 credits short of a degree and I will not be able to complete it due to pre-req's I must still complete. ARGH!!

Also, when did you receive the email saying your application materials were received and your application is under review? I'm just trying to see the time frame, how long it takes to get an interview. Thanks!
 
I just got an email with the list of pre-requisites and I'm marked as Fulfilled/In progress eligible for interview. How long after do they send you an interview date?

1/7 at 10:30 is the interview date. I received a email stating that they received my application about a week ago, and just received the interview invitation.

I also just got a request for an interview on that date and time, however will be unable to attend which I'm bummed about. 🙁 I sent in an email asking to reschedule, so here's hoping for the best!

What was their NAPLEX passing rate stats, if you don't mind me asking? I thought they were pretty high although I may be mistaking it for another school.
 
I sent in my supplemental and received an email saying my application is under review. However, they still have not processed my $60 yet because it does not show on my bank account. Did this happen with anyone else?

Yes, it took awhile for them to process my fee. It took around a month before I heard back from them.

I got an interview invite for 1/14 at 10:30. Once they send you an email stating that they have your application, the rest of the process is around a week.

Congrats on getting an interview! Did you get the interview email yesterday or today? I had to clear up a prereq with them and got an updated prereq email yesterday that said my application is now eligible for interview consideration. Just trying to see around how long they take to get back. thanks!
