The question says:
A heterozygous individual at the color gene, Gg, and shape gene, Ww, has what chance of containing a G allele with a W allele?

A Punnett square would show:

G g
W GW gW
w Gw gw

So the answer would be 25%, right?

TPR is saying "according to independent assortment, the segregation of one gene does not depend on the other, so the chance of a W allele is 50%. " But the question specifically asks the chances of a G and W together... Am I missing something?

Very good question. Indeed the chance of two event happenin at the same time is PA × Pb .. have you ttied ping a Berkley teacher?

Even with the multiplication probability rule the chance of a G is 0.5 and the chance of a W is 0.5 therefore equating to 0.25 or 25% all the same.

I tried calling The Princeton Review customer service but The number I have is apparently only for the prep class and I only have the books, I'm not doing a course.

It's really not THAT big of a deal to spend much time hunting down someone to clarify.
