Silly questions but I have thoroughly confused myself researching all these books. Please let me know if I am correct.

TPR has 2 main books in their set: "review" and the "hyper-learning workbooks" for each subject.

Do they both go hand in hand or can you utilize them individually? I assume the workbooks are simply practice problems while the review books is just like the EK or Kaplan review books.

Also I read that the hyperleaning verbal workbook is one of the best verbal sources available. What about the verbal review book?

Thanks

TPRH, TPR Hyperlearning, are TPR's classroom course books. You get these for signing up for one of their classes. Included in this series are the TPRH Workbooks. There's a Science Workbook and a Verbal Workbook. These two workbooks contain only practice material.

TPR Review books: http://www.amazon.com/Biology-Revie...7929/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1317565020&sr=8-4

These are separated by MCAT subject. There's one for Biology, Physics and Math, Gen Chem, O-Chem, and Verbal and Writing. The content review material is the same as what's provided in TPRH. Additionally, in each book are a small handful of practice questions. I'm not sure if these passages are the same as what's provided in the TPRH Workbooks

The TPR Verbal and Writing Review book: http://www.amazon.com/Verbal-Reason...7961/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1317565020&sr=8-2

Not worth buying except if you need a few more verbal passages (I think there's around 20ish passages which isn't too bad). TPR doesn't have a good verbal strategy and that's the main thing you're getting here. If I knew these were different passages from the TPRH Verbal Workbook, I'd recommend getting it just for the passages.

About TPRH Verbal Workbook, it's fairly tough to find. They pop up from time to time in the For Sale forum on here: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/forumdisplay.php?f=230

You may also find it occasionally on Amazon from private sellers.

Lastly, once TPR switched their classroom books to TPR Hyperlearning, they haven't made any major revisions. Hence, any year of TPRH should be fine.

Thanks a lot guys. So the book im going to hunt for is the illusive TPRH verbal workbook.
