It could only be A or B, but B is too specific so I chose A. The answer is B. How can that be deduced from the passage?

TB requires oxygen to grow and choice A says that we can't grow it because we can't supply sufficient oxygen.

In my mind there isn't an area on Earth (in particular in the human body or lungs) that have more oxygen than just sitting in air - without supplementary oxygen. I don't think getting it enough oxygen would be a problem. This means that the I would think A is false.

I don't think you can deduce B from the passage though. It would have to be process of elimination.

damn, that makes a lot of sense. knowing that it requires a lot of oxygen most likely means the lab that is attempting to culture it will take that into consideration and supply enough oxygen.

i wasn't comfortable with b because it was too specific, but it's clear to me now that the mcat wants you to choose the best possible answer.
