What confuses me is how the new aacpmas transcript entry section is formed.

So... my transcript will say this:
CHEM-453 PHYS CHEM: STRUCTURE
And to enter it in aacpmas I would do:
Course Code: CHEM 453
Course Title: PHYS CHEM: STRUCTURE
Subject: Chemistry

Now could I choose to put in Physical Chemistry as subject? or because it is a CHEM-453 class would I have to put in just Chemistry? or is it just not that big a deal.

If my exact subject wasn't listed I just chose the general subject matter. Here's to hoping that's what they wanted...

For the subject, I just picked the subject that matched the course code. So for your example I would have listed it as chemistry.

the subject part just seems so unnecessary. oh well

If you have questions about your app you should give them a call. There is nothing more annoying than waiting for it to be evaluated and having to enter the information again. They are easy to talk to and will answer your questions quick.

yeah i know, they were closed when i called and will be closed tomorrow by the time im done shadowing. just needed to satisfy my curiosity.

This is what I did but was wondering the same thing. Like at my university o chem is listed as CHEM in the subject of chemistry but I see they have an o chem subject so I wasn't sure.

I also ran into a problem where there wasn't a subject for a class I took. I took a class with the prefix LIBS which was a liberal arts class and there's no liberal arts subject choice. Since it was a film class I picked cinema or something....

I'll call tomorrow and let you all know what they say.

Ok guys, just got off the phone with them. If its an Organic Chemistry class make the subject "Organic Chemistry" and so forth. If you cant find the exact subject use your best reasoning..

Hope this helps. Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know what to do about pass/fail classes? If I type in "P" or "PASS", "none" is put into their grade column.

I just put in "S" for satisfactory.

I put "credit" because that's what my transcript says?

I have read in several places that pass/fail classes are not included in the GPA

When I entered in "Credit" it automatically said "no grade" I still wanted to include it as it's on my transcript

You can still include it, it just won't be factored into your GPA. If "credit" is what your transcript says, then that's probably fine.
