I have a question regarding how transfer grades (from other institutions) are calculated. In my university, all transfer units are not calculated in the undergrad GPA. I looked all over, but couldn't find a definitive answer.
2 Transfer situations:
1. 4 classes from a state school that I took over a summer. These classes actually fulfill premed requirements (2 quarters of calculus, 2 quarters of physics (non-lab though). I did relatively well in these courses and wouldn't mind these being added in the GPA calculation.
2. 1 non-prereq class from a community college class (econ). This was online and I literally just did this to hit the unit requirement for cheap. It would be great if this was not included.
In my transcript it does say that I have transfer units from the institutions, but no classes are added in my undergrad GPA. My understanding is 1) GPAs will be added since they're pre-reqs, but what about 2)? Can I decide to not send the transcripts from the community college (even though they're listed as units in my undergrad transcript), since they are not pre-reqs? Any reference to other links would be appreciated as well.
Thanks!
