i am thinking about transferring from my current university (UOIT) and major, I am currently doing Health Sciences. I do want to prep. for Medical schools. I heard lifesciences and biochem or biomed are good choices to fill out pre-reqs aswell as gain the knowledge for MCAT and Med school.

I would suggest majoring in what you want and taking sciences courses as a supplement. If you are interested in those majors then that's great! But the MCAT is a way of thinking more so than material. I learned all of the material in 2 months. It is based off of the general science courses that all premeds takes. Upper level science courses that you would take as a biochem major or biomed will help minimally for the exam. But they will prob make 1st and 2nd year of med school a little less stressful at best.
